About
Matthias Wendling is a photographer and filmmaker focused on raw, emotional storytelling. Originally from Germany, he has spent more than five years travelling and living abroad, with extended periods in Canada and Norway, and is now based in the Alps of southern Germany.
His personal journey has taken him from Ushuaia to the North Cape, across Patagonia, the Rocky Mountains, the Alps and Norway. Along the way, he has climbed numerous mountains and undertaken independent expeditions, developing a deep connection to remote landscapes and the people who live, work and explore in them.
Today, Matthias focuses professionally on photography and visual storytelling, working with international brands and documenting people, places and experiences with an authentic, human perspective.
Outside of his work, he remains deeply connected to the outdoors. As a paraglider pilot and mountaineer, he spends much of his free time exploring the mountains on foot or from the air.
His work is driven by a simple idea: authentic stories become powerful when they feel real.
